R. Worthley: They don't believe in America

After stupidly watching a rerun of the Biden-Ryan debate, my blood pressure soared again.

I knew Biden came from a small state, but I never realized his childlike behavior matched the size of his state.

If I were on the border about who to vote for, his infantile and rude exhibition should have changed many minds on who to vote for. I expected him to say to Ryan "My father can beat your father," but he is probably saving that for meetings with foreign leaders.

I guess that matches the stand-up comedian who is running for president again.

I do not vote for any party. I vote for the man or woman who believes in America.

That sure isn't Obama and Biden.

Robert Worthley, Roxbury

If we know anything about

If we know anything about Biden, he is prone to erratic comments, erratic behavior and political missteps. Old uncle Joe has history in that context.

It was funny.

Biden couldn't help himself. If I was debating Richie Cunningham I'd be laughing my ass off too.
Picture this: Ryan saying to Gorbachev, " Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall". Now this would be laughable!

Robert Worthley's Vision of America

According to Robert's letter to the Sun Journal on January 19, 2012 - this is apparently what floats his boat.

No.

"If I were on the border about who to vote for, his infantile and rude exhibition should have changed many minds on who to vote for."

First off, you were never on the border. So everything you see if going to be filtered by your already ingrained bias.

Also - this is a debate. After Romney trounced Obama during the first debate, I didn't cry and say "Romney was rude. He kept interrupting and forcing himself to have the last word". It's a debate, and it's big boy pants time. If Ryan can't handle Uncle Joe, how is he going to handle Iran?
