With friends like those who post here, Obama doesn't need enemies. The worst enemy he has is himself.

Your comment is the very essence of what is wrong with your side.
Nero did not play the fiddle while Rome burned. Every part of that statement is wrong.
1. Nero played the cithara, which is a type of lyre or harp.
2. Nero wasn't even in Rome at the time.
3.As soon as Nero heard of the fire, he rushed back and coordinated the fire fighting efforts.
But hey, don't let historical accounts from people who have studied the matter dissaude your efforts to make a point at any cost. Because your obviously set on blaming Obama regardless of the reason.

As far as blaming obama, regardless of the reason? Sound familiar? Can you say Bush? Like it or not, "your side" is in for four more years of that stuff. Elections have consequences, remember?

He had Pizza. Duh.
I have the same disdain for those who blame Bush blindly. The economic collapse of 2008 is the fault of Not just Bush, but Clinton, Bush and especially Reagan.
I'm split on what Obama has accomplished so far. Part of me see ObamaCare as ineffectual and a distraction from going to a Single payer system and that he should have focused his efforts on the economy. Part of me says he slowed the fall enough so that it could start recovering, at which point the best thing to do is stay hands off.
And as for where I have been hanging out - I was in company paid training last week.

I could be supportive of a single payer system if EVERYONE were required to pay their EQUAL share into it to make it financially viable. I just don't think America is capable of structuring such a system because of the divides that exist, both politically and culturally. Instead, we'll end up with a hybrid hacked up politically compromised version of obamacare, and it will suck.

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 already mandates that anyone going into an ER get treatment regardless of ability to pay. We already mandate that everyone gets treated, we just dine and dash when the bill comes. And you wonder why costs are out of control. They have to account for mandated unexpected costs.
What they should have done is just extend Medicare to everyone and then raise the medicare withholding. They could increase my medicare witholding 10X and still be less than what I pay for insurance.

The Medicare inclusion of all will never happen; it makes far too much sense. Another plan that won't happen is covering all Americans under the same plan that covers Congress and the White House.

1. Playing what? "No, no. I have been practicing...I bowled a 129. It's like -- it was like Special Olympics, or something."
2. Where is he? "I've now been in 57 states — I think one left to go."
3. Rushing to the rescue? "The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system."
