Mark Strong Sr., right, sits with his attorney Dan Lilley, left, during his arraignment Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 in Portland, Maine on 59 charges, including promotion of prostitution and violation of privacy in connection with a Kennebunk Zumba dance studio. Lilley has asked the judge for permission to quit the case.
ALFRED (AP) — The lawyer for the business partner of a Zumba instructor charged with running a prostitution ring from her dance studio is seeking to remove himself from the case.
Dan Lilley, lawyer for Mark Strong, submitted his motion a week before the trial is set to begin, telling the judge Tuesday that he hasn't been paid and doesn't have resources to properly prepare for the two- to three-week trial.
The Portland Press Herald says Justice Nancy Mills rejected Lilley's previous motion to delay the trial. She scheduled another hearing for Friday.
Strong, an insurance agent and private investigator, is charged with promotion of prostitution, violation of privacy and conspiring with Alexis Wright, whom authorities say ran a prostitution operation out of her Zumba studio in Kennebunk. Wright is being tried separately.

I'll bet there are still a lot of John's, that have not been named yet, who are pouring in tons of money through their attorneys to stall this as long as they can. Even the Kennebunk Police Department has stopped releasing names citing some lame excuse. Me thinks, there's a lot more hanky-panky going on here then was happening in that Zumba studio.
