Maine, NH, Vt. had successful snowmobile weekend

CONCORD, N.H. — Fish and Game officials are calling the three-day Reciprocal Snowmobile weekend in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont a success.

Last Friday through Sunday, snowmobilers registered in any of the three states were allowed to operate on trails in the other two without being registered.

In New Hampshire, many North Country restaurants and hotels reported brisk business from riders.

Capt. John Wimsatt of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said there were several snow machine accidents, but overall it was a safe weekend.
