FARMINGTON — A New Sharon man faces a charge of stalking a woman in that town.

John A. Gill, 77, was arrested Tuesday on the misdemeanor charge after the Franklin County Sheriff's Department received a complaint from a neighbor and Detective David St. Laurent and Deputy Nate Reid interviewed Gill at his home, St. Laurent said.
Gill has no criminal history, he said.
He was arrested on the stalking charge based on its definition of behavior that is alarming, annoying, threatening, following, or making gestures, St. Laurent said.
The case will be sent to the Franklin County District Attorney's Office for review to determine if he will face additional charges, he said.
Gill was released from the Franklin County jail in Farmington on $500 unsecured bail Tuesday.
He is scheduled to appear in 12th District Court on April 10.

.. it happens all too often . One of every five women will be abused ( sexually or other wise ) in her lifetime here in these U S of A

Don't think it is exclusively men, either , doing these heinous and reprehensible crimes
