Boy killed by plow truck in Greene

GREENE — A 6-year-old boy died Wednesday after being struck by a plow truck driven by his father, police said.

Nathan Capponi was playing in his driveway on a scooter at 6:45 a.m. when his father backed up the plow truck without seeing the boy, Maine State Police spokesman Stephen McCausland.

Nathan was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where he was pronounced dead.

His father, Kevin Capponi, 36, had been plowing their Quaker Ridge Road driveway, McCausland said.

My heart goes out to the father and family. Such a tragic event. I can't imagine what he must be feeling right now. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

This is such a shame. The father must be going out of his mind. So many accidents in the winter. Pray for the family in their loss and Nathan may he R.I.P.
