Saluting veterans, Gettysburg

Valerie Tucker photo

Reenactors of the 15th Alabama Company G offer a salute to the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg during a celebration in Strong on Friday. The town also paid tribute to local veterans. A crowd gathered after the parade at the Veterans' Memorial. Bagpipers and the reenactors performed. Participants travel from all parts of the country to honor this regiment, marching, drilling and dressing as the original soldiers and civilians did.
