N. Bourgoin: Obama promised change

As I was enjoying the celebration of the nation's independence, remembering from decades past the freedom and liberty this country used to have, I was stunned that Nancy Pelosi would take that day to promote the failing Obamacare.

Democrats will do anything (like she says ... "by hook or by crook") to promote their causes at the most opportune times.

Barack Obama has an agenda. In his words, "I'm in this race, not just to hold an office but, together with you, to transform America."

His agenda doesn't stem from just a few months ago, or a few years. Going back to his childhood, he himself has told the public, from his own book, about his socialistic and communistic upbringing. He even told some of his friends in college what he wanted to do to America.

Why would he surround himself with people who hated America (Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers and the Chicago crowd)? He even started his campaign in Bill Ayers' home. He claims to be a radical and wants radical changes.

He is amassing his arsenal of more executive orders and actions to consolidate his power. Blinded by pride and charm, he thinks his ideology will bring about utopia as it serves his ego and turns this country into a socialistic state.

This country is a republic, not a democracy as his administration tries to tell the public. A democracy rules by feeling; a republic by law.

Our forefathers chose the Bible — God's law.

Neil Bourgoin, Jay

Socialist and communist upbringing?

Give me a break. If Obama is a socialist or a communist, he is certainly piss-poor at it. This guy has apparentrly been sleeping since 2008 because he's bringing up alleged "connections" no one (well, except for his wing of the asylum) has mention since then.

That he brings up these fabrications pretty much erases any credibility he may think he's getting by getting published in the Sun Journal (which seems to tend towards fact-free letters, mainly -- left and right leaning).

still free and liberty stands tall

Many of the leading founding fathers were deists – they were very careful to make sure government and religion were separated. They lived with that mess in England and did not want it here. Can you tell me where you found “ the references to God” in the US Constitution”. Yes, we are a nation of laws--but do you remember the lines in the Preamble that says “in order to form a more perfect union”—perfect is often seen as a feeling—perfect laws are difficult.
Now for the radical rights never ending list of inflammatory words- communist, socialist, hate, radical changes, utopia, arsenal of power -- did you read the same political play book or just get the same memo every day?
American democracy, and the republic are doing just fine.. we have our freedom and the" sky is not falling"

 's picture

Enough of the 'deist' hogwash.

Deism is the belief in a supreme being who, after creating the universe, sat back and twiddles his thumbs to this day. You can believe that if you like, because of what the founders put in the Constitution: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ... From that rather simple statement has been woven the "separation of church and state" doctrine, which has been perverted into "freedom from religion". It is such a pervasive structure now, embraced and promoted by its high priests in Washington, that it has become the very nightmare the founders wanted to avoid.

Why did you avoid the inflammatory words of the left? Social justice, equality of outcome, and - the most inflammatory of all - capitalism. I suspect it's because democracy (50% + 1) loves those concepts. Democracy is winning at the Republic's expense.

The sky isn't falling yet, but watch out for those leftist drones.

Really doesn't matter...

The First Amendment renders moot the question of whether the Founders were Christian, Deist, Illuminati, or even closet satanists. It also renders it irrelevant whether they really "chose the Bible" or not because with that first Amendment, they have ensured that no one man's or group's set of religious beleifs will become the law of the land, bible or not.

 's picture

Then the founders failed ...

... because the anti-religious beliefs have become the law of the land. Just the other day there was a story about some evil religious nut who had carved a cross in the side of a pitcher's mound at a MLB stadium. One and only one anti-religious nut in the stands spotted it and demanded it be removed because he was offended. So the pussies in charge suspended the game and sent a grounds crew out to remove the awful symbol of government sanctioned religion. They couldn't allow the pitcher to scuff it away because that would violate union rules, and unions are another kind of government sanctioned religion.

founders did just fine

America is still the land of freedom of religion-- look around --houses of worship are all over and many growing. You can go to anyone or start your own or go to none at all
REALLY !---A baseball stadium I s not a religious structure-- Mike would you want every world religious symbol carved on every pitchers mound?? A little over the top !!-- unions are religion??? I think Not

CRYSTAL WARD's picture

not hogwash- fact

1. several founding fathers were deists
2.no ones required to be religious inAmerica in any founding documents
3. 1st amendment is pretty clear the US congress shall make no law respecting the establishing of religion-so the Federal gov' t cannot establish a national religion .
4. we are no where near the nightmare that had happened in England over religion and gov't being together
5, Neil B .only used inflammatory words from the right -- ?? he used none from the left did you notice?
6. Democracy and the republic are just fine- but watch out for the rights next unnecessary billions of dollars war

 's picture

Oops!

I didn't mean to imply that the mob loves capitalism. They love the leftist jabs against it. They don't have much of a choice because the new priesthood, aided and abetted by most of the media, slams capitalism at every opportunity, ignoring the fact that it pays the bills. That's why the founders avoided democracy - thinking is rarely involved.

Mr Bourgoin says...

..."Barack Obama has an agenda." With this letter you've shown you do too. But, of course, you've personally heard from God - although you didn't say which one.

If obama's agenda is acceptable to you, why are you not o.k. with Mr. Bourgoin having his own as well?

Well, we certainly got

Well, we certainly got change:

1. More national debt and record high debts than I’ve seen in my lifetime.
2. Less freedom – NDAA.
3. A federal police force buying tons of ammo and armored vehicles – Homeland Security.
4. More division – war on rich, war or woman...
5. The list goes on and on.

Guns and ammo

Guns and ammo for AR-15's that they don't want us to have. Why do you suppose that is? Any good dictator will tell you the first thing you do is take away the peoples chance to defend themselves.

Good liberals are akin to a herd of sheep. They just follow the leader and never ever question his motives or decisions.

RONALD RIML's picture

Sorry, Earnest - WE 'Liberals' are quite unlike 'Conservatives'

Don't ever think (Oh, there I go, ascribing liberal qualities to you...pardon moi) that we are at all similar to Conservatives....

David Cote's picture

Actually, you both are alike...

From reading some of these posts it appears both sides aren't really interested in what's right, for if they were, each side would actually consider the other's viewpoint. What is really happening here is both sides are only interested in appearing to be superior. Born from that are the 2nd grade insults and other childish banter. So both sides are indeed the same. Both have huge egos to maintain.

RONALD RIML's picture

"Alike' as my previous 'Conservative' characteristics

Ron,

Lerage's republicans fits that example too.
