Chandler Clothier, 15, right, and her sister Elena, 10, both from Lewiston, pick up cigarette butts in Kennedy Park on Friday morning as part of a community cleanup effort in Lewiston. "We thought it would be great to get our kids together and teach them why we love to volunteer," said coordinator Laurie Tewksbury from L-A Collective, a part of the Lewiston AmeriCorps group. More than 150 kids and volunteers showed up from Lewiston Middle School, Boys and Girls Club, River Valley Village, Hillview, New Beginnings, Tree Street Youth and AmeriCorps.
