Fighting fish survives Lewiston accident

Fish survives accident
Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal

Danielle Martin, left, reacts Tuesday while telling bystanders how her car, right, lost its brakes coming down Chestnut Street in Lewiston where she lives, hit Leah Philippon's car at left and struck the wall of Maine Heritage Weavers. She later realized the fish tank in the back seat of her car was half empty and Blue, the Betta fish she was tending for her brother's girlfriend, was flopping around on the seat. She scooped it up, put it in the tank on the ground at right and it began swimming around. There was no significant damage to the building.
