Police receive tips on theft suspect

FARMINGTON — Several people called Farmington police Thursday morning to identify a woman suspected of stealing a donation container for the Franklin County Animal Shelter from a store.

Farmington police are asking for help identifying this woman shown on a store surveillance camera. She is suspected of stealing a donation container for the Franklin County Animal Shelter from a Farmington business on Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to contact officer Mike Raymond at 778-6311.

A video surveillance picture of the woman was published in the Sun Journal on Thursday and in other media outlets.

All of the people gave the same name, Farmington police secretary Bonnie Pomeroy said.

Police are concluding their investigation, she said.
