Deserves same rights

We are all children of our creator. Supporters for a "yes" vote on Question 1 are not following the Golden Rule, which is the same throughout the great religions of the world.

Same-sex marriage is about love, not the bedroom.

Marriage is a spiritual union and, in my opinion, should not be denied to a minority group that has the same need to have their relationship honored as the majority.

We need to evolve and be more open-minded, loving and accepting. Just because someone can procreate does not make them a better spouse or parent.

My cousin is gay and she is one of the best mothers I have ever known. She and her partner deserve the same rights and respect that my wife and I enjoy.

I hope others will join me in voting "no" on Question 1.

Power of positive thinking* I am already celebrating, because this again is a marking day in our history! Nov. 3rd and beyond will show just how much we don't tolerate discrimination in our state.

Gil can stamp his foot and

Gil can stamp his foot and jump up and do all he wants. Emotional rants aren't an argument. Anyone who would treat others differently without a rational compelling reason is yes a bigot. The YES on 1 folks have never provided any such reason. That's why in the end they lose.

It's what they do Yeah

It's what they do Yeah Right, if you agree with them, well, you are incredibly intelligent and forward thinking and all-loving, if you disagree, well, they whip out the b word, and called an idiot, (and that is one of the kinder words. I will be so glad when this election is over!!!! Just for the record John, you are right, and I agree he does love us all, but he may not agree with our choices. No one on this earth knows what we will be held accountable for in the next life. I don't know what will make him angrier, these foolish elections that bring out the worst in people or the action of people that bring about the elections.

A nice try, now hold hands

A nice try, now hold hands and sing kumbaya flower children. Marriage is, was, and always should be between a man and a woman. Gay couples, by the mere definition of the word itself, cannot marry. You can call a duck a horse, doesn't make it so. How hard is that to understand. And it's nice to see how the opposition can in one sentence extol the virtues of love and the Golden rule, and in the next call those who oppose them bigots and accuse them of not understanding God's love for all. So, if you oppose gay marriage, then you are obviously a bigoted heathen. Nice strategy.

actually your is, was, and

actually your is, was, and always argument falls apart in several spots. The is and always will be on the simple fact that gay marriages already exist

and the was because it's simply not so since there is evidence in several cultures of a history of same sex marriages
