LEWISTON — Lewiston police Thursday afternoon released photographs of the suspect in a robbery at the Big Apple convenience store at 1189 Lisbon St. Wednesday night.
The white male, approximately 5-foot-3-inches tall and wearing over-sized clothing, made off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to a press release from police officials.
Police said the man walked into the store at about 8:25 p.m., displayed a knife, threatened the clerk and demanded money from the register.
Police are asking that anyone with any information or who can identify the suspect to contact Det. James Theiss at 513-3138 ext. 3322.

They tried putting an extra camera behind the counter for better identification. But the ACLU put a stop to that, citing a violation of the perpetrators right to privacy.

Would you think it was so funny if you or a love one was behind the counter? People like you make me sick, you're probably related to the robber.

I wouldn't take a job working behind the counter of a convenience store. I would do my best to discourage any of my loved ones from taking that kind of job, too. I don't care that I make you sick. If and when the robber is caught, there will be more than enough liberal scumbags like yourself coming out to blame society, republicans, people who drink bottled water; anybody and anything except the person who committed the crime. That should make everybody sick.

Some people work wherever they can to survive, I guess you wouldn't. Your senario might be true in your country, but it is not, here in America.

It would seem that you would have a better chance at surviving if you don't take a job at a convenience store. What the hell do you know about working to survive, anyway? The "I'm the victim not a criminal" S-C-E-N-A-R-I-O is played out by the criminals and their advocates every day in THIS country.

When will stores learn that no only is it important to have video cameras, but cameras that take film that makes it easy to recognize someone. Quality of pictures is more important than a scan of the entire store.
