When former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was approached by Sen. John McCain as his pick for vice president, she said yes, yes, yes. Why? Because she has a triple-A personality: me, myself and I.
A reasonable woman who just gave birth would refuse the offer. A reasonable mother, knowing that her teenage daughter was pregnant, would think twice before placing her daughter on national television.
Her oldest son left home at an early age to join the military. If I had a mother like his (and a father who is an overgrown boy who loves to play more than work), I would also run to the military to become a man.
Palin blames the media for exposing and picking on her children, but it was she who chose to bring them to the public eye.
Family values begin at home. Palin's daughter has joined a Christian group advocating sexual abstinence before marriage. She has a son who is dragging her down. I just hope that she doesn't become her mother's daughter.
Palin has quit her job as governor in order to nourish her narcissistic needs: fame and money.
If Palin is the best person to represent the Republican Party, the conservative movement is in deep trouble.
Is Sarah Palin what Americans want for the next president? I think not.

I'd rather have someone like Palin a true American running for president then our current President who seems so intent on steam rolling out his agenda without listening to the voices of the people he was elected to serve.
Why go out of your way to ridicule this imperfect woman who has an imperfect family.
Why focus on all the pettiness and crap and gossip about one woman who really has no direct influence on our lives or freedom when Our Freedoms and liberties are at risk right now because of an imcompetent and corrupt administration on Capitol Hill.

Ms Caron. How many times have you given birth, and how many public offices have you been elected to? I was not aware of any effort to hide the pregnancy of her daughter, I thought it was pretty visible to the public, or anyone not blind. As far as your other comments I don't know how you can form an opinion of someone who is a complete stranger to you. You may not think she is a reasonable woman or very smart, but she ran, and was elected to three public offices. Maybe it's because she also is a reasonably attractive woman who happens to be a member of the Republican Party. I think you are the unreasonable woman to think you are qualified to judge the actions and lives of another family.

What a disgusting letter! Ms. Caron you're a hateful person and somebody I know I wouldn't like. My children have done things I haven't liked but I was never ashamed to introduce them to people, the public. I am proud of my children as is Ms. Palin of her's. Ms Caron, I think you're the unreasonable woman and quite vindictive, too. I totally agree that she wasn't vice presidential material, and ultimately ended up voting for President Obama because I felt John McCain made a serious mistake in choosing her. But I think she accepted his invitation because when the leader of her party asked, she felt it was her duty. Narcissistic? Yeah, probably but what politician isn't a bit at all levels. And attempting to disqualify her because of her recent delivery is a disservice to woman everywhere. If she had been forthcoming about her daughters situation up front instead of waiting for it to be discovered by the media probably would have been wise. But I would blame the McCain people about that more than her. And don't ever question a young person's motive's for serving their country. Speculation on that front just isn't fair. And now, well she's chosen her own path, and the ability to make a lot of money is there. Now is the time to strike and if it hampers her ability to run in four years, who knows. I'll bet you wouldn't have given Barak Obama any chance of being President four years ago.
