Man dies after assault in Portland

PORTLAND — A Westbrook man was killed early Sunday morning in an assault at Monument Square, WGME-TV reported.

Portland police were searching for three men who allegedly assaulted and knocked out the 24-year-old man around 1:29 a.m. on Sunday.

The victim later died at Maine Medical Center.

The victim was with a woman, who police said was not hurt. According to a news release from police, one of the suspects was a man, Hispanic or Middle Eastern in appearance, 20 to 30 years old, from 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9 nine, and between 130 and 180 pounds. The suspect was wearing a yellow shirt, baggy jeans, with a hip-hop style flat-brim hat, WGME reported.

The other males in the group were dressed in a similar fashion.

I go to school where the person who was killed goes to school. This is a sad story and if you are going to fight about things go somewhere else cause those of us who have to deal with this do not want to hear your bickering.
