WILTON — State police detectives are working with Wilton police to learn why a 23-year-old woman died Monday, according to Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Alysha Webb was found Monday morning in her mobile home by her mother who lives in a mobile home across the street in Arkay Trailer Park, off Main Street, McCausland said. He said he did not know the name of Webb's mother.
Webb's body was removed and taken to the state Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. Police are looking into whether drugs may have played a part in her death, McCausland said.
“Three state detectives will continue to work with Wilton police in the aftermath of the death. With the autopsy results and interviews, we'll work to learn why this young woman died,” he said.
Webb was the mother of two children, a 4 year old and a four-month-old baby, he said.
Wilton police began an investigation into the death of the young mother after an ambulance was called for an unresponsive female found in her home in Arkay Trailer Park.
Detectives from the Maine State Police Criminal Investigation Division were also called to the scene, according to Wilton Police Chief Dennis Brown.
Friends, relatives and neighbors gathered in the trailer park, several in tears, by noon as police waited for the state investigators to arrive.
Brown said no other information was being released.
Relatives of the woman at the scene said the she had a medical issue yesterday but seemed fine otherwise.
The mother of Webb's boyfriend, Gary Choate, came for a cookout Sunday night and said she planned to drive Webb to a doctor Monday because of her extremely swollen ankles that hurt when she walked.
“She was a good mother and did a really good job,” said neighbor Sara Bailey, whose 5 year old played with Webb's daughter. Although she knew Webb from school, she had only recently moved into the park but they had planned to do more things together with their children this summer, she said.
