Jay man faces charges in sex case

LIVERMORE FALLS — A Jay man remained in an Auburn jail early Monday afternoon on a charge of sexual assault involving a girl under the age of 18, Livermore Falls police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Tuesday.

Aaron Patton, 37, is being held on $5,000 cash bail.

He was arrested Friday on a charge of gross sexual assault and was issued a summons on a charge of unlawful sexual contact, Steward said.

A family member reported the incident to police Thursday night, he said.

A joint investigation between Livermore Falls police Sgt. Joe Sage and Jay Detective Richard Caton IV was conducted before Patton was arrested and taken to Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn, he said.

Obviously you don't have underage daughters, or you would not be asking this question. Those of us who live in the area want to know what this dirtbag looks like so that we can be on the lookout for him when the "law" turns him loose again. Its called protecting our children, and has NOTHING to do with controlling everything.
