AUBURN — The following cases were closed recently in the Androscoggin County Superior Court:

Troy Dean Martin, 46, Skowhegan, operating after habitual offender revocation-two priors on Aug. 5, 2008, found guilty, fined $1,000, sentenced to 12 months.

Dennis Martineau, 53, Auburn, operating under the influence, operating vehicle without license-condition/restriction on Jan. 18, 2009, found guilty on first charge, fined $600, license suspended 90 days; second charge dismissed.

Miguel Antonio Martinez, 28, Lewiston, assault on June 19, 2008, probation violation, sentenced to six months, probation partially revoked.

Wilson Martinez, 25, Brooklyn, N.Y., aggravated trafficking of scheduled W drug, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, falsifying physical evidence, criminal forfeiture of property on Feb. 18, 2009, found guilty on second charge, fined $400, sentenced to one year, six months; first and third charges dismissed; forfeited on fourth charge.

Alan Scott Mason Jr., 32, Lewiston, burglary on Sept. 9, 2007, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Sept. 13, 2007, sentenced to six years all suspended, probation three years and restitution of $5,368.90 on first charge; sentenced to three years all suspended, probation two years and restitution of $5,368.90 on second charge.

Alan Scott Mason Jr., 32, Lewiston, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer-priors on Sept. 20, 2007, sentenced to three years all suspended, probation two years, restitution of $5,368.90.

Nathan Junior May, 21, Auburn, assault on May 31, 2008, dismissed.

Jeffrey Bryan McClintock, 47, Lewiston, operating after habitual offender revocation-prior on July 23, 2008, found guilty, fined $1,000, sentenced to six months.

Renay Lynn McCluskey, 28, Auburn, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on July 7, 2004, sentenced to 162 days, probation partially revoked and continued.

Shawn McDonald, 42, Greene, assault, criminal mischief on Dec. 14, 2008, first charge dismissed; found guilty on second charge, fined $75, restitution of $50.

Larry W. McElmurry, 47, Auburn, two counts of gross sexual assault on May 12, 2007, gross sexual assault on May 19, 2007, and May 5, 2005, three charges dismissed; found guilty on one charge, sentenced to five years all suspended, probation three years.

Christopher J. McFarland, 25, Auburn, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs on March 13, 2007, probation violation, sentenced to 14 days, probation partially revoked and continued.

Patrick W. McKinney, 44, Oxford, assault on Nov. 2, 2008, found guilty, fined $300, sentenced to 21 days.

Jacqueline McLaughlin, 61, Lewiston, theft by deception on Sept. 15, 1999, probation violation, sentenced to six years with all but 61 days suspended, probation four years, restitution of $102,804.80.

Gerald M. McNeal, 24, Lewiston, eluding an officer on May 19, 2008, probation violation, sentenced to five months, 29 days, probation partially revoked and continued.

Guess it's ok to steal, steal and steal some more.
Pays in the end.... no jail time - as usual.
Really tired of seeing thieves skate - back on the streets to steal from everyone else rather than get a JOB.
How do they do it?
Seems lessor crimes get plenty of time in jail... but be a habitual thief and walk away with restitution? Of course the victims may never see a dime of THAT!
