Auburn police investigate the suspicious death of a young man found dead inside his Auburn apartment Monday morning at 20 Myrtle St.

A 911 call came in at 5:25 a.m. When police arrived at an apartment at 20 Myrtle St., they found the man dead inside.

The cause of death is unknown at this time and is being treated as suspicious.

The call came from another person living in the apartment.

Detectives expect to be at the scene throughout the day gathering evidence and conducting interviews in the case, Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine State Police, wrote in a prepared statement.

A woman who also lived at the apartment in the duplex was taken to a local hospital for treatment and observation and was admitted, McCausland said.

The man's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for an autopsy scheduled for Tuesday. The man's identity is expected to be confirmed at that time, McCausland said, and released after his family has been notified.

According to Auburn Deputy Chief Jason Moen, detectives were the apartment most of the day collecting evidence and conducting interviews.

Police said they planned to search a white Chrysler Sebring convertible parked in the building's driveway.

Tron is out of line calling people names, especially a profane remark like, " You are an ass.....". Leads me to believe that poor Tron has nothing better to do!

Back to the matter at hand

I have been away from the Lewiston/Auburn area for a few years now, but if I remember correctly Myrtle St was in the heart of a good neighborhood, back in the day. Of course, times and things change.Everyplace has their "not-so-good" neighborhoods, but it doesn't mean that all of the people are bad who live there. People live where they can afford.
Reguarless of why this young man died, my heart and prayers go out to his family, and I hope the woman will be alright.

Yes I am off story line Subject...BUT...

This has to be one of the most ridiculous blogs I have ever seen. Can't people just get along, and keep to the subject matter? I moved from Lewiston a few years back, but I do still read the Sun-Journal everyday online. It just makes me wnder who is doing the banning of comments, a relative, when tron and Son of tron's are always left to be read? Their family squabbles should be taken up somewhere else, and keep these blogs for the subject at hand. The manner in which comments seem to be chosen to get banned or not, just doesn't seem very proffessional at all.
I normally don't blog, but seeing this today just totally irked me to no end.Tron and Son make me remember one of the reasons I don't usually blog. If their life is so boring that they need to take out their family issues here, then maybe they should just start their own website.
As a matter of fact, I will be very shocked if this comment even gets to make it through.
And why? Because I'm not a tron?

I am so tired of having the comment section clogged with the inanity of Tron and his ilk.

Tron's language

Why is this user, Tron, allowed to call people asses? I do not allow my children to use the SJ online for school projects because of the profanity that is allowed in these forums!

The sewer runs from Myrtle St

The sewer runs from Myrtle St down to Main St. Rats by the river can easily travel that short distance.

Anyone else noticed that there are

two officers and one dectective just standing around doing nothing? Mr. Aho, there are three positions that can be eliminated at a cost of over 200k a year. That should pay for spring clean-up!

Anyone else notice that

in a still photograph, all objects are still, DUH!
