If anyone needed any further proof that the major media outlets, including ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, etc., are all far-left liberal, then the following should, once and for all, put the issue to bed.
When the war in Iraq was being fought (identified properly as George W. Bush's war), those media would report every single death of our military heroes, over and over, complete with pictures and with added negative comments about President Bush, of course.
Now there is President Barack Obama's war. As I write this, I have just heard (obviously on Fox News) that there have been 31 of our military heroes lost during this month alone.
Has anyone heard much of anything about that from any of the other, aforementioned media?

I get the news updated from MSNBC and other so called liberal sources due to live RSS feeds from the BBC, MSNBC, NBC, and several others on the deaths of soldiers and the tallies for months, days, and years since we have been engaged in our own American military industrial complex. Currently Conservatives hold the ideals of more Marxists practices while enabling themselves to claim victimization in all of its forms. They are neither Democrats nor Republicans but a third party. Which virtually amends itself that America is in a three party system, we have Republicans, Democrats, and the given dangers of the Marxist philosophies which have swept into Conservatism. So, in Windows Vista I have the assets of viewing MSNBC documented proof and being able to prove on record they do record soldier's deaths. I like how Scotty and his friends like to ply themselves as Republicans when their views feel more or less like the Third Reich in practice and theory.

I talked to a Republican who wants to ignore the eight years of Bush and blame Obama for everything. Read the posts of people like "Barb" and you see that's common from that crowd.
I just threw up my hands. I realized it´s hopeless. There will never be any progress in health care or anything except doomsday weapons with people like these around.
You can´t reason with people like this.
Here are 10 reasons why you can´t reason with them.
1. They believe there has never been a Republican wrong about anything. If they are proven wrong in their viewpoint, they´ll deny it. They believe it´s impossible for American policy toward other countries to be wrong, if the policy was enacted by Republicans.
2. Republicans, mostly white men, consider black Americans, Mexican Americans and women to be inferior. They consider them inferior in this order (bottom most inferior):
A. Women (white women).
B. Mexicans.
C. Blacks.
Yet, they need women for purposes of sex, those Republicans who aren´t gay. Also, Republicans don´t mind picking a person of color as a token to dispel the notion that they are racist.
3. Republicans don´t believe in freedom of speech. Anybody who has an opinion they don´t like they heckle or shout down. They don´t believe in the Constitution. Anybody who wants to do something different they call a traitor.
4. The Republican Party, the white man´s party, are champions of the double standard. For example, they constantly brand social programs as socialistic giveaways because the programs help those whom they consider inferior, but they don´t mind spending billions forever nation-building in Iraq, giving money to those they consider inferior (Arabs). As long as it´s a war of conquest or building a colony overseas, it´s not wasteful spending. If it´s here in this country and spent on the poor or immigrants, it´s wasteful spending.
5. A Republican harps on the cost of everything, but knows the value of nothing. An older Republican will call you a subversive if you´re liberal, but doesn´t throw his Social Security check in the trash, a check made possible by liberals. The Republican spends the Social Security check.
6. Republicans love to castigate others for being unpatriotic, yet far fewer Republicans in Congress have served in the military than Democrats. Elected Republican officials love to carp about family values, yet they are at least on par with Democrats when it comes to adultery, gay, rough and group sex, and pursuing under-age boys in the men´s room.
7. Very few Republicans have read a history book. George Bush Senior said Pearl Harbor happened on September 6, 1941, and Ronald Reagan laid a wreath in a German cemetery commemorating victims of the Holocaust only to find out it contained SS members of the Gestapo. He laid the wreath anyway. George Bush Junior compared Iraq with its attack helicopters to American independence in 1776.
8. Republicans not only didn´t learn from Watergate, they actually admired it, and have tirelessly developed secret government ever since, including the art of "Plausible deniability," first coined by Reagan. Republicans fervently believe in secret government.
9. Republicans don´t believe in a two-party system, though it worked fairly well for all its failures and foibles up until the time Republicans began listening to the whacked out psychotic extremists in their party. They make Barry Goldwater look like a Bolshevik.
10. Republicans believe that God is a Republican who looks like John Wayne. This makes reasoning with them very difficult.

i just need to point out a few problems. you make many "claims" which are you could of used better examples. for example, a better example of showing that republicans think "consider black Americans, Mexican Americans and women to be inferior." a better example would have been how in south carolina they are try to keep the black candidate alvin greene off the ballot. oops, those are the dems.

Read "Charlie Wilson's War" by George Crile to find out how we helped create and arm the Mujahadeen though the CIA to defeat the Soviets in Afghanistan. We were even buying arms from the Chinese Communists to do so.

It's sad that you throw a term like "surrender monkey" around. It was this group of thinking individuals who warned that America would only stand to loose the blood of its brave soldiers and treasure thanks to Bush war for oil based on lies in Iraq. If you bothered to read the article in Rolling Stone about Afghanistan, you would grasp (if you can muster that much objectivity, when in point of fact you probably only allow yourself to "believe" the right wing talking points of chicken hawks like Dick "Six Deferment" Cheney), then you would realize that Afghanistan isn't "winnable." Yes,during Bushes eight years he had the responsibility of everything that happened under his watch but to blame everything on Bush now (almost two years later )is absurd. How long will it be before the chosen one takes responsibility for anything? Oblameya made this his war and he has lost respect from those who serve him. He has a smug arrogant demeanor which diminishes his role as a leader. Gee,you have to go way back to the election to explain Obama's foreign policy stance and his surge into Pakistan? How long did it take him to send additional troops ? His indecisiveness is showing. I guess his strategy or lack thereof is not working as planned. I will at least end on a positive note. In an article published by Coleen Turner (Huffington Post (a liberal rag) states what the lame stream media is failing to report in Afghanistan. It tells of some of the positives happening in Afghanistan,if you care to read it. So even Afghanistan is a disaster and filled with chaotic violence some good has come of it no matter how small. I still think Obama is a failure ,but if he is responsible for some the positives I will give the man credit.

If you paid any attention just about Obama's first statement on foreign policy during the election was that he would bomb targets in Pakistan if they were legitimate threats, so the idea that he has not explained it is absurd. There has also been a very public discussion of strategy, how many troops to put in etc. Obama inherited this war, a war which started with across the board bi-partisan support. He did not start it, he is only trying to win it. Of course it would have been won years ago if Shrub had not distracted our effort in Afghanistan with the elective war in Iraq

All went down to defeat after the Dems took over in 05 to 08. So what has Berry the biggest boob done. He introduced the biggest farce of a bill to save public jobs only. None of stimulus made it to the private sector to stimulate job growth. Oh Maine got its share and used it all to save the public sector and to hell with the private sector. Then they tried to pass off construction jobs already signed to contract as stimulus created jobs. You know like the repaving of the north bound lanes of 295. Pike was already working on the project when Berry O signed the Stimulus bill. You guys are a joke.

Has Obama reported the progress or lack thereof? Has he explained his push into Pakistan with the loss of civillian life? Has the lame stream media dared to question him? I don't think so. Have we heard any positive stories about the good that has been accomplished in Afganistan so far? Obama declared that this war is necessary,it is his war, but the man does not know how to fight it. The ecomomy,the oil spill, the war, the Blago trial, and the obscene spending is the proof that Obama has lost control and the country is on a downward sprial. Not a big watcher of TV news, so I can't say there, but across the spectrum of the print media this fact has been widely reported. It takes an almost delusional fixation on your preconceptions to claim the media has been giving Obama a pass on the Afghan War (and an almost complete reliance on Fox propaganda to believe that Obama started the Afghan War)

Well take it from me, Mr. Morin, the other networks not only report the casualties, they reported how intense the fighting is in Afghanistan and how badly the war is going. So get off your bias network and look around, you'd be surprise how all the networks are balanced, even more than FOX News?

and they report on the war frequently, having a news reporter, Richard Engel, who is actually IN Afghanistan and reports from there several times a week, on the progress of the war and other human interest stories. Exactly who does FOX News? have there? No one, everyone there is a non military man or, as in the case of Ollie North, a convicted felon coward.
