BANGOR, Maine (AP) — Drug police in Maine say they're concerned by what they say is a disturbing trend of more parents bringing children to drug deals.
Garry Higgins of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says that over the past two months the agency has made 10 felony drug arrests and investigators have found preschoolers, one of them under the age of 2, at the last two the deals.
Higgins tells the Bangor Daily News drug deals are not a safe environment for children.
In the two most recent cases, after police arrested seven people on drugs charges, police called the Department of Health and Human Services to care for the children.
