First family to vacation in Maine

WASHINGTON — The first family's summer vacation plans will include a trip to Maine.

The White House says the Obamas will travel next Friday to Mount Desert Island, which is home to Acadia National Park. There will be no public events for the president during the three-day trip.

The Obamas also spent time in national parks last summer, visiting Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon.

I think deimos has wayyyy to much time on their hands...maybe even a touch of OCD?? I say, WELCOME Mr President, and your beautiful family to our Grand state of Maine! And as xyz, Jake and Madeliene said...ignore the idiots who have nothing better to do then complain. Mainers are known for their awesomne hospiality, and our beautiful state. Enjoy..and please do come back again! Maybe the others who have posted such unfreindly 'spew' are really 'out-a-staters, who transplanted here!

It is a big deal

I hope he loves Maine so much, that he perhaps take special interest to our needs....Please send good paying jobs our way, Mr. President. God knows how badly they are needed.

Courtesy is a small act but it packs a mighty wallop...I hope we can all be courteous to the President and his family. It sure beats being remembered for rudeness.
