WINSLOW, Maine (AP) — A Maine man is facing a variety of charges after a 22-mile, high-speed chase that began in the town of Winslow.
Police say 37-year-old Winfried P. Cates of Vassalboro was arrested late Sunday night after a Winslow officer spotted a car allegedly driven by Cates going 92 mph on state Route 137.
The Portland Press Herald says the chase went into China before Cates was arrested at a road block set up by state police.
Cates was charged with felony, aggravated drunk driving, eluding a police officer and other offenses.
