LIVERMORE FALLS — A Livermore Falls teen faces a charge of recklessness with a dangerous weapon, a vehicle, after driving a car on Monday with another teen on the hood gripping the windshield.
Her summons also included charges of unauthorized use of the vehicle and driving without a license, said Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr.
The teen was visiting another juvenile at her home on the Leeds Road at about 8 p.m Monday. The juvenile was sitting on the hood of the car and eating something when the teen jumped behind the wheel and took off. She drove down to Pine Ridge Trailer Park, a distance of between a half-mile and a mile, Steward said. The speed of the vehicle was not known.
The juvenile gripped the windshield area to stay on the hood but was not hurt in the incident, he said.
The teen is scheduled to appear in juvenile court to face the charges on Sept. 27, he said.
