DURHAM — A 23-year-old Durham driver, Jeremy Boone, had to be extricated from his vehicle following a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 125 and the Quaker Meetinghouse Road Sunday night.

Androscoggin County Sheriff Maurice Drouin said Durham Fire and Rescue personnel had to remove the doors from Boone's car to free him. He complained of pain and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Drouin, Boone was driving on Route 125 when the second vehicle, driven by Presley Wallace, 17, of Phippsburg, who was driving north on Quaker Meetinghouse Road, failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and collided with Boone's vehicle. Neither she nor her passengers were injured.
Damage was estimated at $5,000 each to Wallace's 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt and Boone's 2001 Mercury Sable in the 7:27 p.m. crash.

What Is The Matter With People?
This intersection was a dangerous one BUT THEY have done everything to make it more safe. You have to be BLIND not to see all the warnings! There's signs, a blinking light and the road fixed for visibility, I mean what else is needed is PAYING ATTENTION!!! Were cellphones and texting involved???
