Congressman Michael Michaud has been there for Maine on education, taxes, Social Security, veterans affairs ... you name it. He spends as much time as possible checking in with his Maine constituents, and takes our voice back to Congress.
As the co-founder and chair of the House Trade Working Group in Congress, Michaud works hard on behalf of American workers, consumers and businesses alike to ensure a more level international playing field for our products and services, and to fight unfair trade policies.
Many politicians become more invested in their own position than in the states they represent; Michaud never forgets the common people who elected him, maintaining the kind of integrity, moderation and persistence that Maine people are known for.
In these challenging times, I can count on Mike Michaud to remain grounded in common sense and good values, and I will be voting for him in November.

Kind of curious, veritas...If you are such guardian of truth, why don't you refute some of the drivel that comes forth from people like tron in the name of defending truth? You're supposed to be neutral "truth-teller," right? Then you should be the classic independent. How about tron's racist accusations? I try to deal much more with facts than with opinions. Facts can be referenced - which I'm certainly not afraid to have reseached and often link to. Opinions are like anal orifices - everyone's got one.
It's certainly no 'Biggie' when one disagrees with an opinion. If they disagree with a 'fact' they should at least have the common decency of refuting it and posting their own link and reference. Very few - if any - ever do.

Please go look at the Federal revenue and 1980 and then please look at the revenue and 1988. Report those numbers back here. I will gladly apologize to you if the number in 1988 is less than the number in 1980. While you're at it what was unemployment in 1980 and what was it in 1988. Without looking, I'm pretty sure they were lower in 1988. What was inflation in 1980 and what was it in 1988. Probably lower.

The topics about which I contacted them were not partisan or regarding bills that were pending. In the case of Collins, it was to ask for advice on behalf of a friend who's daughter was college student vacationing in Cancun and had lost her identification. Collins called me at home at 9:30 pm.
Do Snowe & Collins vote as their party leader instructs them 96% of the time, as Michaud does for Pelosi ? Hardly. They represent Maine people, not just their inner circle.
I always post against Michaud because he is damaging to America and does a horrible job representing the people of Maine. I imagine he represents you quite well. You come across as very Pelosian on this site.

Listens to Maine people? Really? I have seen Jason Levesque everywhere speaking to people about how they feel about the issues. I haven't seen hide nor hair of Mike Michaud. I have sent e-mails to his office that were not answered, not even with a form letter. I have called his office and asked for answers and got nothing. Right, he listens to Mainers. No town halls to take questions, no e-mail responses, and no answers from his staff. I get periodic e-mail updates from Collins and Snowe but I have NEVER received an update from Michaud's office. No thanks...I'm voting for Jason Levesque. If Michaud is the standard of measurement for responsible representation, we're all in trouble.
