It is unfortunate that Libby Mitchell has stooped so low trying for votes by defaming Paul LePage's character. I would say that it is not working.
This Democrat is voting for Paul LePage because Mitchell just proved that Democrats are dirty players (much like Barack Obama). Why she thinks she can talk dirt about someone to make herself look good is beyond me. Shame on her.
I notice that LePage is not saying anything dirty about Mitchell. He has professionalism and has already proven himself.
As for the other candidates, Eliot Cutler gave jobs to China back in the 1980s. No thanks.
Moody? Maybe next time.
I hope Paul LePage wins. Maine needs an honest and hardworking leader.

LePage is trying to win by promising everything that pops into his head, to everyone he talks to. Those multi vows are now coming back to haunt him, as is his tendency to make things up.
you can't rely on campaign promises, too many things change in economies, and society. Our next governer (whoever it is) will oversee the state in a period that sees an economic recovery on a national basis. If they take credit for it they are being dishonest, if they acknowledge they were just a caretaker then they are being honest.
You can however vote based on character and honesty. Paul LePage has neither of those traits.

How about the ad that lepage accuses Mrs. Mitchell not understanding taxes. That was a small snippet of a speech where Mrs. Mitchell explained her stance on taxes and what she hope to do. However lepage grabbed just one snippet and made it seem like is did not understand taxes. That was a dirty, underhanded and unworthy tactic for a gubernatorial candidate.
