Give Obama more time

How soon we forget.

From day one, almost everyone in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. has blamed President Barack Obama for the state of the nation's economy and unemployment levels.

It took President George W. Bush eight years to get the nation into the mess it's in. It might take eight years or more to get the nation out.

People need to give Obama a few more years to get the nation back on track. The president said that there is no easy fix.

Give the president more time to get things cleared up before putting all the blame on the president.

More time

Mr. Harwood, please take the bag off your head and wake up.We need this President out of office. He has cost the American Tax payers more money than the past 10 Presidents. You must be on welfare or you don't pay taxes.Maybe if you do work you could pay the Somalians in your area so the welfare system doesn't in turn lowering my taxes.

Interesting Analysis: Obama=Bush? - That's Bush1

"President Obama isn’t the new Carter, but he just might be the new (first) Bush"

- And all without the benefit of eight years experience as Vice President.

Read the entire article - there's a lot of striking similarities and parallels.

let's see...

Since Obama became president, 98% of Americans received a tax cut, but they won't tell you that on Faux News. USA was losing an average of 318,000 private sector jobs a month in Dubya's last year. In 2010, there have been an average of 98,000 private sector jobs added. But they won't tell you that on Faux News. Dubya's final budget had a $1.42 trillion deficit. Obama's first had a $1.29 trillion deficit. And the markets? Since Dubya's last day in office, the Dow is up more than 40%, NASDAQ up 75%, S&P up 47%. So, the markets took off, there was a more than 400,000 swing in private sector job growth, nearly all Americans got a tax cut, and the deficit has been reduced. Haven't they mentioned that on Faux?

PAUL ST JEAN's picture

What tax cut was that, liily?

What tax cut was that, liily? Are you referring to the $250 welfare check he sent all of us, which included dead people and prison inmates? That tax cut, or the one he gave us last summer but didn't change the tax rates, so we all paid income taxes on the extra take home at the end of the year. Tax cuts; RIGHT!!

Way to "Re-Write" History -VOR

So you write: "He was arrogant from day one, telling the Republicans he didn't have to work with them because "he won".

Why lie when it's so easy for us to go check the truth there, whoever you are? He met with them - they simply wouldn't work with him. Obstruct, obstruct, obstruct.

"Obama Meets with Republicans on the Hill July 27, 2009
By Michael D. Shear

President Obama declared himself optimistic after meeting with Republican House leaders Tuesday afternoon and called for a suspension of partisan politics as he and lawmakers try to craft a rescue of the nation's economy.

Speaking to reporters before heading into a similar meeting with Senate Republicans, Obama called the House meeting "constructive."

"The American people expect action," he said. "They want us to put together a recovery package that puts people back to work, that creates investments that assure our long-term energy independence, an effective health care system, an education system that works; they want our infrastructure rebuilt, and they want it done wisely, so that we're not wasting taxpayer money."

Obama is facing an increasingly resistant Republican Party, whose leaders are declaring their opposition to what they consider excessive spending and too few tax cuts in the legislation drafted by Democratic lawmakers."

So you caught my typo - it was seven days after inaugeration.

You caught yourself being wrong.

And I should also remark upon your ignorance of Navy paygrades? That's speaks for itself - no zings required.....

So you're also the expert on transcribing months now.....

Interesting that Senator Grassley never tells us why they weren't at the 'Table' -

Seems the Republicans never show up for anything. But Obama did show up for the House Republican Congressional Retreat - san teleprompter - and singlehandedly debated them as they stay way from him.

You have a point

but we are a nation in a hurry. It wouldn't matter which party was in power, the people of this country have a short memory span and want results NOW. What they don't seem to get is that we have two separate parties in control of the Govt. at all times and neither one of them can agree with the other on what should be done to fix the problems. It's one of the paradoxes of democracy. Nobody agrees with anybody else about anything but HEY, let's run a country.
Instant fixes can't be done, but everyone wants instant gratification. The Republicans now control the House, or will in January. You can bet that if something isn't done by March, the people that voted them in will be screaming for their heads.
Obama was handed a mess, and Bush had a war he had no business running dropped in his lap. Neither one of these men are at fault for the problems we're facing now. They both did the best that they could based on the information that they have to work with.
Blame the advisors who have their own agendas. Blame Congress and the House who can't seem to get their SH*& together long enough to enact a real piece of legislation that matters to the rest of us.
The POTUS has no real power anymore. He's pretty much the Queen of England in a mans suit.
