Be more progressive

U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud's statement in the Sun Journal Nov. 17 about U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was extremely disturbing.

We can appreciate that some of his constituents up North are borderline sagebrush Democrats, but some of us who have voted for him recently are far from that segment of conservative Democrats.

I hope he will disassociate himself from reactionary ideas and move on to being more progressive. Pelosi was, is, and will be in the latter category.

Spell it right.

Progressive (uppercase) has nothing to do with progressive (lowercase). Pelosi is the former and the electorate finally got fed up and demoted her to the minority. Too bad the voters of her district didn't join in and move her where she belongs - out of Congress. I hear there's quite a waiting list for the California Old Progressives' Home where they dodder around on their walkers hollering "Tax the rich!" and "Power to the people!"

Wait. I forgot that a bed just opened up. The former occupant just got elected governor.

Does anyone know how Mike voted on Pelosi remaining the speaker of the house recently? I would hope he voted against it.
