After harsh words, Maine's LePage to meet Obama

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The Maine Republican who made headlines with his "go to hell" remark aimed at President Barack Obama says he's looking forward to meeting his commander in chief on Thursday.

Gov.-elect Paul LePage, who won a five-way race with support of the tea party, is joining other governors-elect in Washington to meet with Obama and to discuss homeland security.

LePage says he looks forward to talking to Obama.

He hasn't changed his message about what he calls burdensome rules and regulations. But he says he'd use different words than he did in September when he told fishermen complaining about federal regulations that "you're going to be seeing a lot of me on the front page, saying 'Governor LePage tells Obama to go to hell.'"

I wish President Obama didn't

I wish President Obama didn't have too much class to tell lepage exactly where lepage should go. The disrepect this buffoon gave to the President deserves nothing less than a kick in the rear.
