According to a police report, a second vehicle had parked too close to Burns' SUV, causing her to climb in through the passengers side of the vehicle. Burns was unable to get over the center console and so had to sit on the console while working the accelerator with her left foot, according to the crash report. As she attempted to back her vehicle out of the space, it collided with several other parked vehicles. Damage to Burns' 2000 GMC was estimated at $1,500; to a 2008 Volkswagen, owned by Amy Blaisdell-Pechmanova, of Lewiston, $1,000; to a 2000 Subaru, owned by David J. Lawrence, 62, of Bowdoin, $2,000; and to a 2007 Hyundai, owned by Leola E. Keene, 62, of Livermore, $650.

Tractor trailers driven by Eric R. Sherwood, 36, of Fort Fairfield, and John Dewey Bradshaw, 59, of High Point, N.C., collided at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday in a parking lot at Irving Mainway on Washington Street. Chamberland Inc., of St. Agatha, was estimated at $3,500; to the 2007 Freightliner, driven by Bradshaw and owned by Smith Trucking, of Elmhurst, Ill., $5,000.
