PHOTOS: Vista Drive light show begins

Loggins said the display in front of his and Bang's homes took 200 hours to set up, including roughly 170,000 lights that are synced to holiday music through a computer that can be tuned in on an AM/FM radio. Loggins said the recent rains and high winds delayed this year's launch of the annual show. It is the fourth year he's treated motorists to the flashing, multicolored lights. A steady stream of vehicles slowed to a crawl in both directions along Vista Drive on Saturday. Motorists shouted their appreciation, including an SUV full of teenage girls who screamed, "This is amazing."

Cars drive slowly as they pass the holiday light show on Vista Drive in Auburn on Saturday evening. After much debate at City Hall and bad weather delayed the show for weeks, the lights and music finally turned on Saturday.

It's nice unless you are the neighbors

I agree that it is an amazing display and I'm glad some people do this every year.
The problem with this particular display is the location - neighbors are pretty much held hostage to come and go from their own homes.
While I enjoy the show... I'm glad I don't love on Vista drive
