Maine soldier killed in Afghanistan

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - A soldier from Maine has been killed in Afghanistan.

Sen. Susan Collins said Tuesday that Pfc. Jordan Brochu, of Oakland, was killed Monday. Officials said he served with an infantry battalion out of Fort Lewis, Wash.

A 21-year-old Marine from western Maine was killed last month in Afghanistan.

Lance Cpl. Joshua M. Bernard of New Portland died Aug. 14 of injuries sustained during combat operations in Afghanistan's Helmand province.

So Sorry to hear about this soldier......Let's Hope he wasn't a Gay soldier...who Died for his country (even while being treated as a 2nd class citizen) in his own country,and having HIS RIGHTS Voted on.
