WILTON — Two Bethel women escaped injury Thursday morning when their pickup truck slid off Route 2 and flipped over.

An Ford F350 flipped over and landed back on its wheels Thursday morning on Route 2 West near the Pond Road.

Shannon Long, 18, of Bethel was driving the pickup east near the Pond Road intersection at about 8:30 a.m. when the accident happened, police officer Timothy Coombs said. The road was snow-covered and Long lost control of the truck, which hit a snowbank, flipped over and landed on its in a small bog area, he said.

i'll bet they weren't injured because they were wearing their seat belts and it would be nice if the SJ mentioned that. also, seems like a hard way for an 18 year old to learn to drive and bad timing too.

OK. Great Article but, Words are missing and the article leaves a lot of details out.

This should be better proof read. The intersection of Pond Road and What? the whole intersection is where Pond Road intersects Pond Road???

And this line here. he road was snow-covered and Long lost control of the truck, which hit a snowbank, flipped over and landed on its in a small bog area, he said. Somebody else besides me see words missing??? Hello? REWRITE! More Facts, PLEASE and Thank You!
