JACKMAN, Maine (AP) — A logging truck has crashed into a western Maine home, sending logs rolling into the house and killing a 5-year-old boy.
Somerset County Sheriff Barry Delong said the truck was passing through Jackman, Maine, near the Canadian border at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday when it struck telephone poles, crashed into the home and spilled its logs.
Delong says the boy, whose name has not been released, was sleeping on a downstairs couch. Nobody else inside was injured.
The Canadian truck driver was taken to a Bangor hospital with unknown injuries.

Passing through
My condolences to the family.
