The Rumford Police Department responded to 102 complaints from 6 a.m. Aug. 30 to 6 a.m. Sept. 6.
Arrests/summonses:
Aug. 30 at 11:40 p.m.: Stephanie Benedix, 50, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Michael Belanger on Rumford Avenue on a charge of operating after suspension. Benedix posted $200 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 3.
Sept. 5 at 1:30 a.m.: Amanda Blood, 24, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. James Bernard on Oxford Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct. Blood posted $200 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 3.
Sept. 5 at 1:35 a.m.: Michael Foreman, 37, of Mexico was arrested by Patrolman Michael Belanger on Oxford Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct. Foreman posted $200 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 3.
Aug. 30 at 1:40 a.m.: Paul White, 42, of Feeding Hills, Mass., was arrested by Sgt. Tracey Higley on Essex Avenue on a charge of operating under the influence and failure to report a crash. White was unable to post bail and taken to the Oxford County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Dec. 8.
Assaults
Aug. 31 at 1:25 p.m.: Route 2 resident reported being assaulted by her son. Victim refused to press charges.
Sept. 5 at 11:59 a.m.: Pine Street resident reported being assaulted by her husband. Charges are pending.
Sept. 5 at 7:36 p.m.: Penobscot Street resident reported his daughter being assaulted. Victim refused to press charges
Sept. 6 at 1:55 a.m.: Maine Avenue resident reported being assaulted. Victim refused to press charges
Criminal mischief
Sept. 4 at 1:54 p.m.: Holyoke Avenue resident reported someone keyed her car. No damage listed. Case is under investigation.
Theft
Sept. 2 at 3:35 p.m.: Dixfield resident reported theft of $50 in newspaper tips by a former carrier. Case is under investigation.
Sept. 3 at 9:08 a.m.: Franklin Street resident reported theft of a flashlight valued at $100. Case is under investigation.
Sept. 4 at 3:59 p.m.: Cumberland Street resident reported theft of two bicycles valued at $100 each. Case is under investigation.
Wanted
Peter M. Gordon, 31, of Rumford is wanted on a warrant for failure to pay fines for operating after suspension.

Why bother to call the cops if you aren't going to press charges? Don't waste everyone's time.

All these people who refuse to press charges for an assult, are just leaving the door open for themselves for a more serious crime on themself or somebody else.

probably was a mag-lite..... i had one a few years back, was police issue actually... lost it to an ex-boyfriend who "couldnt find it" that was worth about 150......
