12 Maine troopers receive their badges

VASSALBORO, Maine (AP) — Maine's 12 newest state troopers are receiving their badges.

The troopers are graduating Friday from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro. The ceremony marks the completion of nine weeks of training in state police procedures and policies.

The troopers previously graduated from the 26-week basic law enforcement training program, which was also held at the academy.
