Bring God back to America

His way and it works. Our way, and look what is happening.

Back when we were at war in the 1940s, we had God in the U.S. Supreme Court, in government and in our schools.

We had respect for others. We prayed to God at home and we went to church. Yes, we had faith in God.

Now, there is no Our Father in schools. No Ten Commandments.

These are but a few things we are doing to get God out of our lives and look what is happening to our country. It just is not working.

So, let's start by praying to God, by respecting others and bringing our morality back.

Yes. We need the Ten Commandments, and we need God.

Let's see what happens when we bring God back into our country and back into our lives.

We have everything to gain, so let's get started.

Which God?

First, which God are you talking about? And before we let him back in the country, I want to see his birth certificate, and the legal justification for allowing him (her?) into the USA.

Lilly..your statement is off

Lilly..your statement is off the wall on so many levels that it is impossible to respond to it other than that you are guaranteed under the 1st Amendment the right to say or print it.

Nice point and wishful thinking

Yes Ron, lets bring back the good old days like when my Dad was 9 years old and was molested by a Catholic Priest. He is now 92 and hates anything that smacks of religion and I can't blame him as a similar thing happened to me. It's taken fifty years to catch these perverts and bring them to justice. The good old days and religion ? Crap !!

Look around you,

Look around you, sweetfern...how's Godlessness and secularism working for America? Our moral and social fiber are headed right for the toilet. But, hey, that's just an opinion from a pirate.
And, no, none of my post is intended to trivialize what happened to you and your dad; that's horrible, and I hate that it happened to you.

A place for God

The place for God is in your heart, your home and your Church. Like it or not we live in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, multi-religious country. Every religious person I know assumes that other religions are wrong, sinful or crazy. This breeds the kind of intolerance that makes life miserable for everybody and sometimes breeds violence and persecution. For that reason tolerance needs to reign where people of many races and creeds interact. This includes the government and the public schools. Because we believe in tolerance there is no law prohibiting you from sending your children to a school where your beliefs are taught. You cannot be denied housing, or a job, or medical care because of your religious beliefs. Because we believe in tolerance you have the right to assemble with people who believe as you do and worship together. This does not occur in all countries. I for one am thankful for these freedoms.

I found god . . .

. . . he was behind the sofa the whole time.

I'm sure the Mullahs are preaching the same message -- more god, less or no reason.

And why doesn't ol' Satan get any blame anymore? Lucifer feels awfully left out these days. He has so few friends on his Facebook page.

Yes, back in 1940...with God in our Schools

In 1940, racial segregation was the law of the land. Was this God's plan??

In 1940, Domestic Abuse was accepted practice; women had to suffer at the hands of men and had little or no legal recourse. We should return to this??

In 1940, with "God in our Schools" the life expectancy of a newborn was 62.5 years old; now it is well into the 70's.

So did God get out of School and get to work helping us solve some of our social and medical problems? Sure sounds like it.

Humility and Grace

What brings peace to troubled souls is knowing that there is a God and you aren't it. Right? Thanks for the post! Wisdom comes from the Lord, it's fundamental and above one man and his flaws. God is more than you and I can ever imagine! NEXT!

One problem....

Your wrote this post on the Sabbath. Sorry, but according to the bible, your are not allowed to do any work on the Sabbath. When would a good time be for the community to gather at your house to stone you?

Jer. 17: 21
Deut 5:12
Exodus 35:3
Num. 15:32-36

Well played, Jason.

Nice to see someone actually turning to the texts -- for a good chuckle, no less.

Hopefully he wasn't eating shellfish while posting. That would be bad.

I dunno

I can't imagine it gets much worse in the bible than stoning. Might as well enjoy some lobster.

I don't know about that. I heard crucifixion was a pretty long afternoon.
