LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating a break-in at an apartment on Pleasant Street, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Tuesday.

Prescription medication and an undisclosed amount of money were stolen, he said. The burglary was reported at 11:33 a.m. Monday. A door was kicked in to gain entrance to the apartment, Steward said.

What Do Police Do?

Of all the articles in the past year or so involving investigated crimes in Livermore Falls (break-ins, burglaries, robberies)I think it would be interesting for the sun-journal to do a follow up on how many of these have actually been solved. I always read in these articles that the LFPD is "investigating" these incidents, however, you rarely hear if any of these have been solved or people arrested and charged with them. As a resident of Livermore Falls I would love to know if any of these get solved. Just wanna know if my tax dollars are doing anything.....
