Arrests
Justin Edwards, 18, charged with criminal mischief, refusing to submit to arrest, minor consuming liquor, and indecent conduct on July 1 at 7:21 p.m.  Officers responded to the area at the request of Bates Security personnel, who were chasing Edwards after he was seen urinating in public and then damaged a golf cart.
Burglaries
The Blue Goose at 69 Sabattus St. was burglarized overnight June 29-30. Entry was gained by removing an air conditioner. Liquor was taken from inside.
An apartment at 67 Oak St. was burglarized prior to 7 p.m. June 29. A Nintendo Wii was taken from inside.
An apartment at 21 Summer St. was burglarized overnight June 28-29. A television was taken from inside.
An apartment at 115 College St. was burglarized between 1:30 and 2:45 p.m. July 1. The entry door was carded, a Compaq laptop computer was taken from inside.
Roy’s Bicycle shop at 51 Farwell St. was burglarized at 1:30 a.m. June 30. The suspect smashed a window and grabbed a black BMX with lime green spokes from inside. He is described as a tall, white, skinny male wearing a dark sweatshirt and blue jeans. He fled toward Webber Avenue.
Motor Works Auto at 686 Sabattus St. was burglarized between 10:30 p.m June 26 and 5 a.m. June 26. There were no signs of forced entry. An Actron diagnostic tester, Quad Processor Video System, Go PED gas powered scooter, and an HP laptop were taken from inside.
A mobile home at 7 Oxbow Dr. was burglarized before 6 pm. June 26. A laptop computer was taken from inside.
An apartment at 131 Horton St. was burglarized between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. June 29. An HP mini laptop and a coin purse were taken from inside.
Speaker’s Variety at 29 Spruce St. was burglarized overnight June 27-28. Entry was gained by the roof tiles from the basement connecting the store to the apartments next door. Some cigars and lighters were taken.
Motor vehicle burglaries
A vehicle parked at 14 Buttonwood Lane was burglarized overnight June 20-21. A laptop computer was taken from inside.
A vehicle parked at 16 Dupuis Ave. was burglarized sometime between June  23 and 30. A stereo was taken from inside.
A vehicle parked at 176 Pine St. was burglarized overnight June 29-30. A stereo faceplate was taken from inside.
A vehicle parked at 142 Bartlett St. was burglarized prior to 9:30 p.m. June 28. A purse was taken from inside.
A vehicle parked at 30 River St. was burglarized during the evening of June 28. Cash, a radar detector, and a Mio GPS were taken from inside.
A vehicle parked at 34 River St. was burglarized overnight June 28-29. Some change was taken from the center console.
OUIarrest
Ann Lachance, 44, charged with operating under the influence at 1:58 a.m. July 2 at 500 Lincoln St.

Hey Sun/Journal Editors,

Hey Sun/Journal Editors, this new layout is very hard to read. It could really use some first line indenting or a blank line separating the different sentences. Or bullits (• ) to begin each new line, like the Police Log.

Right now it is a very poor layout - design for readability, just horrible.
