AUBURN - Jeff Roy was 3-for-3 with an RBI and made a key putout at third base to help Outlaws seal an 8-3 victory over Team Argo in an Auburn Players League softball championship contest.
Hunter Erickson made the throw to Roy from left-center field to nab an Argo runner. Keith Wright also chipped in solid defense at the plate, with Reggie Emery making the final catch of the game in right-center.
Dan Erickson was 2-for-2 and Ryan Pleau 2-for-3, each with an RBI for Outlaws.
Team Argo captured the Auburn Players League West Division softball title, posting a league-best 10-5 record. Argo also led the division in overall wins with 14 after going 4-2 in the playoffs.
