LEWISTON — The chairman of the Lewiston Republican City Committee is requesting that all Lewiston Republicans attend the Androscoggin County Republican Caucus from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, Geiger Elementary School, 601 College St.
According to Chairman Tim Lajoie, guest speakers include Maine Senate President and 2nd District Congressional candidate Kevin Raye, Maine Attorney General William Schneider, director of the Maine Turnpike Authority and former state Sen. Peter Mills, and John C. Turner of the Maine State Housing Authority.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Voter registration for first-time and unenrolled voters will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Officers for the next two-year term will be elected in addition to delegates to the state convention being held in May.
The program will conclude with a straw poll of presidential candidates, with results announced with statewide tallies by Maine State GOP Chairman Charlie Webster later that day. For more information, call 212-2160 or e-mail chair@lewgop.org

Why are republicans allowed
Why are republicans allowed to use a school for their caucus? I hope they're charge a high payment for trashing a public building. The authorities should NOT let partisan groups use a public building like this. This building was paid for with public dollars and this group should NOT be allowed to sully the place.

Friday, February 3, 2012
YORK, Maine — All registered Democrats are encouraged to participate in voting on Sunday, Feb. 26, the day of the Maine Democratic Caucus.
In the Town of York, the caucus will be held at 1 p.m. at the YORK MIDDLE SCHOOL, 84 Organug Road, York.
Town Clerk, Mary-Anne Szeniawski will be available at the caucus from noon to 1 p.m. to register anyone who is not registered, not enrolled in any other party and to register any new voter who will turn 18 by Election Day (Nov. 6). Independent (unenrolled) voters may register as Democratic voters at the caucus.
Those registered to vote in another party (Green or Republican), must change their party affiliation at York Town Hall by Feb. 6 to be eligible to vote in the Feb. 26 Democratic caucus. Occasionally, people change party affiliations during a significant election and forget to change back.
To register, proof of York residency will be required. Acceptable proof can include a valid Maine driver's license showing a York address, or two utility bills with your present York street address and a birth certificate or passport. Voters in doubt about their status or those unsure about their affiliation should contact Szeniawski at 363-1003. The clerk is available at Town Hall any week day during business hours.

Dan it seems like you are assuming facts not in evidence...again. We already get it..you don't like Republicans and I seriously doubt you would make the same statement if the Democrats were using the building. This is part of the reason why this country is going to hell.....the partisanship of everyone. Get over it and offer up solutions to the problems.

That's just going back two days! Even on Sunday, on that nice story about people stepping up to help the Dixfield couple who couldn't heat their home, you said, "I agree, but it would be more heartwarming if the republicans in this state would have stepped up, instead of Democrats from other states." How do you even know the political affiliation of who donated money?!

Again, Pattie, the story was in the NEW YORK TIMES, not on FOX News. How many people of your political persuasion even read the NYT? Do you? Also why does this justify personal attacks on me? Isn't that contrary to your terms of service?
