'Somebody has landed in our yard'

Amber Waterman/Sun Journal

United Ambulance and Lewiston Fire Department tend to two passengers involved in a three-vehicle accident at the corner of Pond and Randall roads at about 3:30 p.m. Friday. "It's getting monotonous; this is the third time in three years somebody has landed in our yard," said Lionel Bernier, who has lived in the house for the past 56 years with his wife, Louise. "When you go to the mailbox, you have to be quick!" he said. Police were continuing to investigate the crash later Friday. The names of those involved were not available. Police said none of the injuries proved to be life-threatening.

Accident at the corner of Pond and Randall Roads

I've Said it once before, I'll say it again. SLOW DOWN PEOPLE! YOU'LL LIVE LONGER!

When I drove Taxi for both L/A Cab Company & City Cab Company and in my own personal vehicles, I HATED that intersection! People Drive Way Too Fast around the section of Sabattus Street!

I'm not sure but...

I'm not sure but, I'd be willing to bet the cause of the accident was lack of attention to one thing. Its that big red eight sided thing in the center of the picture. That poor sign is so often ignored.

again. people: dig your head

again. people: dig your head out of yourselves, put away your toys, and pay attention to the world around you when you are driving. thats a tough corner any way, but with a little patience, self control, and attention to the world around you, this doesn't happen.

We don't know if texting was

We don't know if texting was a probable cause of this accident. It very well could've but don't go and jump to conclusions. Speed could've played a factor for all we know. I know that Pond Rd is only 25mph but people drive over that hill fast and someone on Randall Rd going straight won't have enough time to react and boom, there is another accident. So let's not assume but yet hope that all people involved are fine....
