California is the poster child for Big Government Failure. It's the largest state government in the country and it's flopping like a fish out of water. Big government flat out can not sustain itself. Can anyone point out an instance of big government succeeding? Because I can point out many instances of it failing. California state government is just the latest.

I used to think Palin was a breath of fresh air and maybe some sort of hope for the Republican party but the more she parades around in front of cameras and tends to act more like some sort of celebrity the more I lose confidence in her. But Snowe is not the answer either, and never will be.

I agree that Sanford is a complete let down and failure. I would also go so far as to agree that the Republican party is a complete joke and failure. Thats about the end of our agreements though. I had to read the line "Public service of character is what Ted Kennedy has embodied for his entire life" four times, seriously, to make sure I was reading that correctly. Sandford is a loser for cheating on his wife and leaving public office. Teddy drove off a bridge wasted, with hooker in the car, and then saved himself and let her drown. I'm not entirely positive but I think in the race of "who's going to hell the fastest" Kennedy has a commanding lead. As much as I dislike W, he took the evidence that was presented to him and showed people such as Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton and other prominent Democrats and they rang the war bell just as loud as Bush, if not, louder. But that is an interesting way you choose to word that. "Mislead us". Ok. And if you're throwing Newty under the bus, don't forget John Edwards and Mahoney, who also ran on family values, and then had multiple affairs. Try not to be so one sided in your next post. You can't see the whole picture (which is government just screwing everyone) if you just look to the right for problems.

200 Mil is much more than 14 mil, agreed. But I'm never really a fan of raising taxes. To me this is all stupid anyway. A big part of Obama's stimulus plan is creating new jobs. But how much of that is creating new government jobs that have to be paid by tax payers? So people embrace this stimulus plans, and government officials praise the jobs they create and money that comes in, and then they turn around and say 'we have too many government jobs already so we have to create mandatory unpaid days off to save money.' This is government officials indirectly admitting that government is to big and needs to be cut, without actually cutting anything. Just easing the pain. For now.
