Still blaming the media for the garbage that comes out of his mouth.
Please somebody compete for Ward 1 school committee. In my humble opinion, Mr. Farrell was an absolute disbgrace during his tenure on City Council. Make him go away. I'll help with your campaign.
What a great program. Can't wait to see them live at the Balloon Festival!
Does the Sun Journal employ copy editors? It doesn't appear so.
I respectfully disagree about price points. Let's look at other restaurants on Lisbon that have survived well over a year; Fuel, Marche, Mother India, Forage, Guthries. All have higher than Subway price points and have thrived.
You get what you pay for. Want a single slice of ham, a processed piece or cheese, a few veggies on a spongy sub roll at Sams for $4.35. Go for it. I'll pay the extra couple bucks and get something worthy.
Best of luck Bread Shack. I think you're going to do just fine.
You haven't been in the schools lately, have you Bob?
Let's hope Auburn voters have the sense to not elect you to any city post again.
It's sad to see that Auburn Residents (well... of the marginal 13% that voted) don't see the value of public schools.
Yup, you shaving a few dollars off this years tax bill. But you've reduced the value of your house by several thousand dollars as well. Who in their right mind would buy a home in Auburn now - particularly if they have kids. So values of houses decline, and guess what, taxable income declines as well. What happens then? Well.... taxes need to increase to cover the balance.
It's a shame that folks like Ron Potvin want to accelerate the death spiral in Auburn by cutting spending to the bone. In the end, its a penny wise, pound foolish approach and the city will ultimately be harmed.
Shame on the senior citizens, who had the public pay for schools when their kids were in school, and now, because they aren't, want to just cut, cut, cut.
I hope the School Committee resubmits the same budget that was just defeated. I will help get out the vote to make sure it passes this time. It is the right thing to do. I hope other Auburn school parents feel the same way. It's time to tell Mr. Potvin to go away, and properly fund our schools.
key word, 'former' council members.
I don't agree with all of their decisions, but they've done nothing worthy of a recall. If you're so unhappy, vote them out at the next election. Better yet, run for the school committee yourselves. Politics like this is the worst kind and needlessly tears apart the community.
