As usual citzens were not listened to. Councilors showed their true colors again last night when they tried to switch the order of the agenda. Why would you move approval of the hiring process before the vote on whether to delay the process. That just does not make sense unless your mind is set in stone and you don't care what the citizens have to say. Why have public comment if it does not matter? It was easily 4 to 1 for the delay of the process at the meeting last night. It was said the new direction is looking for a new leader. How many times does it have to be said the Council leads the city the adminstrator follows. 5 months left and they still do not know their job.

I went to the meeting and it was interesting.

I think the meeting is a great idea. Whether you believe in their view our not this is what our government is based on "The will of the people". If you don't follow their beliefs don't go, form your own meeting with citizens to discuss where they want the city going. Maybe we can get the groups together and have and old fashioned tug of war to see who is stronger. Wait isn't that what will happen in November? I personally only think their has been helped by this publicity because not everyone knew about it until it was put here in the paper.

No where did I say he did not deserve to be paid for the job he is doing. My point is you have stated this action would not have a fiscal impact until we were paying two adminstrators salaries (Bennett and New hire). I knew all along you would have to pay him more that is common sense. Please elaborate for us as well why the process of hiring a someone will be short process... or we could all speculate....
