They were out of cameras view, horsing around, as boys will...Was it right, was it wrong?..It wasnt professional, I agree, but seriously a matter that could of been handled in private... The squirrel and the crow in yesterdays paper made better news.
Minot ave is very hectic during certain times thru out the day...I avoid those specific hours because its frightening at times...Impatient drivers do seem to set right on your tail to make you speed up...One evening recently I was heading towards auburn, still in minot, wen a long line of cars were coming in the opposite direction..An impatient driver pulled out and passed 3 cars in the worst area possible and was heading straight at me..He barely had enough space to pull in behind someone doing the limit...Needless to say I did continue on, safely, but the whole line of cars had their brakes on and it made me cringe to think this guy could have caused such a serious accident and would have caused at least a half dozen cars to end up in a crash...Because of the fear of other drivers we tend to take the scenic , less traveled routes....Im able to get to my destinations safely, and at the speed limits posted, make much better time as well in travel...
Yes and I would like to know which doctor I would need to contact that would even discuss this issue...The docs I have just nod their heads but dont give information.
You can get all the training and education etc etc for jobs like these but, honestly nothing will stop any one from being affected by the things that can traumatize to some degree...PTSD isnt just an illness police/rescue or military persons suffer...Sufferers do include those who have been physically/emotionally/sexually abused as children...No amount of therapy pulls you from the dark channels that PTSD puts one through..Medications/therapies, may keep some under control , but the effects are always there...So I will disagree with extra training to prepare one for the job as it too is a waste of money when you are not emotionally prepared for what you find on your next call...

They may have the case closed but Dans spirit does live on...I question the act of Justin Lord, taking a bandana from Dans truck as a souvenir, if he didnt do anything to provoc Dan, why would he need a souvenir...Are you proud? Let me remind you, Dans spirit is unrested, you even crossed boundaries on him after his death, dont think his spirit wont be with you till your last days...Its all going to come back on you, no matter where you go and what you do, until you find it within yourself to stand up and take responsibility for your actions...Seeing there are records of crime against J Lord, shows he has no remorse or care for hisself and others....In his picture his eyes show the anger inside...I would consider you a danger to society...Do know how you treat others, willl all fall on you one day...Karma! Mabe then you will realize how Dan felt when you let him down in his final hours...You see you are no better then Dan or anyone else you have harmed, you are no hero as you might think you are...Everyone let Dan down that day...Swat stepped into the building at 10 am and did not help Dan, leaving him the building, feeling trapped...Why werent there paramedics to take him to St Marys...Why was he left to fight by himself, with voices directing him...He felt alone, afraid, and lost his fight for life anymore, and that was unfair...It just goes to show that we with mental illness are not safe , from neighbors to police...Because of the label, they all turned their backs...There is no regard to the illness and how one struggles daily to take care of oneself...Even doctors tend to throw their hands in the air and insult us when they dont understand...Its demeaning as hell...We are still human beings and deserve respect...Dan wasnt a criminal, he was ill...The criminals are the ones who taunted, lied, stole and ridiculed him , literally, to death...Its a shame! Shame on you all who allowed this to happen....Dans spirit lives within all of you and I hope you can live with yourselves when you realize exactly how your actions effected another human being!
This story so hits close to home for me. I also suffer with a multitude of mental illnesses. We do NOT always think and act as others would consider normal. There are many illnesses in this catagory, so one cannot say they even know what he was going through during the last few weeks of his life. Depending which illnesses and whether or not the medications prescribed were working for him, along with the fear that grew in him, is what led to his desmise.
Rest in peace...It is a well known fact, those who take their own life, do not rest in peace. They are unrested spirits. Unfortunately Dan didnt find peace that day, he is not at rest. His life ended as he knew it, with the medical conditions, the stresses in his life, and the harrassment and ridicule from his neighbors. To know that J.Lord entered Dans home after all was said and done, shows hisself to be a man who suffers mental illness himself. I highly recommend any and all in this family and their friends get some knowledge about this issue. They may find the reasons for their own behaviors. It is apparant that quite a number have no regard to human life, whatsoever, and thats very sad. Think what this is doing to the babies, is this really how you would like their futures to be? Children learn what they live, and its no joke. Teaching children to lie, cheat, steal and kill, is not a healthy way to live, its as sick as it gets!
Do know one thing, Dans spirit will live on. He will be in your lives forever. Everyday there will be reminders of that day, when Dan took his life, and maybe, oneday
you will understand why.
