As one of those who followed the original trial in in the Sun Journal, I must say it is refreshing to have comments that are more balanced now, I can only presume that it is the new commentator validation process which appears to have eliminated the outrageously biased comments of the initial trial.
Well that's a relief, won't have to be so worried about personal belongings being stolen from the cabin this year.
A study of history shows that Nazi Germany was not the only country that required citizens to produce papers on demand. In the former Soviet Union, you not only had to carry your identification papers with you, if you wanted to leave the district you resided in, you needed travel authorization papers. This state of affairs lasted for far longer in the USSR than it did in Nazi Germany.
As a local camp resident, I am glad the festival is over, I know a lot of people who have suffered thefts of small items from their camps, or come back to camp to find things moved around, as well as groups of festival goers frequenting private campgrounds and behaving innapropriately. Lets' just say we are glad it's over, and hope they choose somewhere else next time.

Apparently a Bates education does not include a law imput, otherwhise they would know you are only given your 'rights' when you are questioned for the offence you have been arrested, and certainly not on the street in a public order situation. Well done for the departments involved in this difficult and dangerous situaiton, there are few things worse than being vastly outnumbered by aggressive drunks.
