I'm curious to know "why" the school requested the search..did they simply want to make a point that the school is drug free or were they given a tip that there might be some drugs in the school. Either way I'm very happy with the results and I hope the students were told how proud we are of them. Alot of schools might not have had the same results.
Ha! My Waldo! A shelter cat and a sweet and wonderful guy.
Hmmm. Probably the ones that got alot of disagrees? It's frustrating to have to comment instead of just clicking.
Thank you Sen. King, this is exactly why I voted for you.
I would click the "I agree button" if there was one. I do agree, what's the problem with a few "I disagrees" or "I agrees".
Was the dog seen by a veterinarian?
Was the driver of the car actually speeding and was he given a ticket for speeding?
Was the dog owner fined for his dog being lose?
Were the police even called?
Was the "pedal bike" being ridden by someone and if so was it an adult or child? If it was a child is he/she alright after seeing a dog hit by a car?
If the whole story isn't important then you could have just said
"Owner reports that dog slightly injured after chasing a pedal bike and being struck by speeding car."
I'm concerned that alot of citizens and selectmen/ selectwomen want to put the majority of blame for the tight town budget onto the schools. Yes, it does cost alot to educate children but please educate the children so they can do a better job of running this town/world than their parents have done. We're not on opposite sides. We shouldn't be arguing with the people responsible for teaching our children and grandchilden, we should be working with them. Tell them the financial concerns and needs of running the town and in turn listen to their financial concerns and needs for educating our children. I believe that's how adults behave, at least that's what we tell our children.
A good article because it explains why he was arrested. Obviously the hospital failed him so the police had no choice but to arrest him for his own safety. Hopefully he will the psychiatric care he needs.
Maybe it's karma and he now deserves to live out his life as a pet. He's intelligent, good looking and very friendly, what more could you ask for. There must be someone out there willing to give this guy a future.
"While I do believe the dog was shot, I don't believe the whole story. It just doesn't add up."
The body was riddled with gunshot wounds so you have to admit that happened, the throat was cut, I assume that was also obvious. So may I ask what doesn't add up? Someone tortured this poor dog and Nelson says "right now we're not doing anything, just waiting to see if people will talk."
I think what was left out was ....it is too bad but we're waiting to see if we wait long enough people will just forget about it.
Very sad how this poor dog suffered before she died and no one cares, not to mention the connection between animal abuse and human abuse? Anyone who could do this to an animal is violent, capable of more violence and needs at the very least to be in jail AND needs to have a mental evaluation.
