Follow The Money

Article said they meaning husband and wife own several properies in area. I bet her realestate was transfered over to the husand's name and the money paid to the family members was moved out of the country to. Maybe she is or already has taken a long tropical vacation to with the money to. Hummn I wonder how she is going to pay it back ???? Is she gainfiully employed or who will hire her ? I would hope that the guilty plea means handing over any of it that was not spent rather than just being affraid to proesecute the case to get a guilty verdict.

Big Headlines for Welfare

Wow its time to get the State of Maine's popular welfare recipient system on the map. Will someone please call Dateline, 48 hours, or 20/20 and get this story on the news. Everyone knows all these welfare cases come here to live in Maine and yes some who get caught the "white collar criminals " actually pull it off and get away with it. I fully doubt any of this money will be repaid back to the state and this woman will be free in a couple years. Define it as how to get rich and get away with it. This is nothing but an embarassment for our state on how it took so long to get caught as nothing was done about it. I am quite sure there are alot more of these cases out there so I hope someone is listening.

Talk show ! Unbelievable

Whats next a key to the city. I cannot understand why these people get more and more oportunities while hard working people in Lewiston get nothing. Why didn't another qualified person get a chance to have a talk show on another subject matter cause I am sure no one was asked. You just keep rolling out the red carpet cause your a minority. I am sure in their own language on the air they will preach their way of life and tell more of their kind to come and live in Lewiston and take advantage of all the freebees here . I really hope others like me are out there to take a stand to say enough is enough. We need to get rid of those politicians at the local level who keep giving them the handouts. I know I will not vote for them please lets all unite !

No Justice Yet

Remeber this has no gone though the courts yet . No one should jump to conclusions .He is still a city employee for now. I am sure the city officials will not rush to judgment on one ones fate and will let the justice system run its course.

Being Arrested

The bottom line is this. These students will have to get their parents to hire an attorney and cost them hefty legal fees to resolve their legal matters. Then after this they will have to deal with the colleges code of conduct rules to face discliplanary action or even to possibly be expelled especially with the case of the aggravated assault charge. This is not a good mark to have on someones record. This will no doubt leave a black mark on their record over one night of celebration and is not the police and college security's fault.

The Facts

Did the deputy show up to meet the guy in a marked police car and then he gave chase ? Why wasn't there an undercover cop handling this and a stake out set up. Also was this guy a violent criminal or just an accused thief not immediately threatening someone. lf so does not sound that good for the county ?

Questions to Ask

Who paid for the mayor's trip to Haiti recently ?  I believe in a full blown audit done at City  Hall and lets eliminate the wasted money spent for  the city of Lewiston.  I am sure this is much more that can be done before fingers are being pointed.

20 - 25 year plans

how about when the limit is reached its time to get out and move on in life. Lots of these employees do not go and stay on which costs the city more in salary and benefits. It prevents the new hires from starting out with lower pay and costs so they can look to a promising future. These employees forget how it all started. If this was the way there would not be layoffs. Perhaps mandatory retirement after reaching the limit should be the way.
